Job Description Summary

Senior Director, Defense & Systems Commercial and Government Business DT is a key Digital Technology leader aligning to key business stakeholders across Defense & Systems Sales & Business Development, Contracts, Government Property, and Finance organizations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key thought leader in the value stream processes to support the sales opportunity through contract closeout process.
  • Connect teams and processes across multiple organizations to simplify the way Defense & Systems does business in support of its customers and internal operations.
  • Lead a team to deliver software and outcomes in support of the sales and contracts value stream.
  • Recruit and develop technical talent in the GE Aerospace Digital Technology Organization.
  • Lead various software products ranging from SaaS products (like Salesforce.com) to custom-developed software critical for proposal management.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive $12M+ digital strategy roadmap for Commercial and Government Business within Defense & Systems, optimizing sales-to-contract closeout processes.
  • Act as a practitioner and coach of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary Lean Operating System, to accelerate deployment of strategic capabilities and value to the D&S business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, or Associates degree with at least 13 years of experience, or High School Diploma with at least 15 years of experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in IT.
  • Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex digital technology environment.

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in defense contracting.
  • Experience executing digital technology strategies supporting Defense industry commercial, contracts, and finance organizations.
  • CRM expertise.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead programs and projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will depend on obtaining authorization for access from the U.S. Government for applicants who are not asylees, refugees, lawful permanent residents, or U.S. Citizens.
