About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building Motive Cards for our customers, including developing APIs/services that integrate with payment platforms to process transactions.

You will focus on building our financial stack, ensuring reliability and performance for payment transactions, integrating with payment platforms, generating invoices, processing transactions, and monitoring/preventing credit and transaction fraud.

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale data models and improve system performance.
• Create scalable API interfaces for internal and external applications.
• Learn and integrate third-party billing/payment systems like Stripe or Adyen.
• Develop software that reduces operational costs and improves development iteration times.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging for system health.
• Communicate effectively across teams and projects.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor and collaborate with other developers.

What We’re Looking For

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with product infrastructure, distributed systems, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar languages.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds.
