Job description

Come work as a Consultant Pathologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

The successful applicant will join a busy Anatomic Pathology group practice as a Consultant Pathologist. With a clinical appointment at UBC in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the applicant will engage in departmental research and teaching programs, including undergraduate and graduate students, as well as resident training. Additionally, the role involves administrative tasks, such as committee work, collaboration on health authority initiatives, and research.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in all aspects of the diagnostic laboratory.
  • Participating in an on-call roster to meet clinical needs.
  • Engaging in quality improvement and management activities.
  • Handling administrative duties as assigned.
  • Contributing to academic productivity through research, education, and other scholarly activities.

Qualifications:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) registration – Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership – Mandatory
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certification – Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Preferred
