Job Description

Primary Location:

Ogden, Utah

Syrup Batcher:

This position is responsible for preparing bulk quantities of beverage products for packaging by performing the following duties. The employee frequently walks, reaches with hands and arms, and talks or hears. Occasionally, the employee sits; climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; and tastes or smells. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Counts full goods and raw materials in stock and posts totals to inventory records.

• Mixes beverage concentrate and other ingredients to produce syrup following established recipes and procedures.
• Calculates adjustments in recipe amounts based on batch size to meet quality standards.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and operates the batch room and equipment in compliance with FDA and G.M.P. standards.
• Evaluates prepared syrup for texture, appearance, flavor, and other standards.
• Records ingredient amounts, coding data, and other information on Batch Sheets and documentation.
• Receives and secures inventory.
• Manages syrup inventory to ensure optimal use of ingredients according to code dates.
• Samples shipments to verify weights, measures, coding data, and other product controls.
• Wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.
• Wears company-provided uniform and maintains a professional appearance.
• Completes all required Food Safety and GMP training and demonstrates ongoing compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
