Intertek (BML) is a commercial laboratory specializing in the recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team.

General Description of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Executive Assistant, the Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks to support business operations. The role involves organizing and coordinating office procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls politely and professionally.
  • Welcome clients and visitors warmly, ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar.
  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Create and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Manage supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees.
  • Process financial transactions.
  • Perform data entry tasks.
  • Compile reports as required.

Job Requirements

  • Experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Sage Accounting software.

Salary & Benefits

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00, based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Benefits include vacation, paid sick days, medical coverage, and more.
