What is the opportunity?

You will provide strategic leadership in developing, implementing, and managing initiatives and BAU work streams for Personal & Commercial Operations (PCO) Credit and Fraud Management (CFM) – Credit Management & Recoveries (CM&R). You will ensure alignment with PCO strategies, core enablers, and a balanced risk tone. As the ‘face’ of CM&R, you will prioritize development activities, liaise between business, IT, external parties, and stakeholders, and be responsible for implementing complex projects, ensuring adherence to PMF/LSS methodologies, and facilitating decision-making around scope, cost, and timelines. You will align team resources to programs/projects/BAU requirements as SMEs, searching for innovative solutions to business needs while maintaining a focus on safety and soundness.

What will you do?

  1. Operationalize CM&R strategic changes, provide direction for productivity enhancements, problem resolution, automation solutions, process soundness, and integration of PCO strategic themes.
  2. Lead cross-functional CM&R experts in executing strategic projects and business work streams, ensuring high client focus, risk balance, and metric reporting.
  3. Identify and resolve operational deficiencies, mitigate risk, uphold the client experience, and work with CFM to define scope, requirements, business case, and reporting analytics.
  4. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to identify and implement innovative, best-in-class operational processes for Risk Operations.
  5. Communicate the implications of initiatives as part of change management, ensuring accurate governance and risk mitigation.
  6. Foster a high-achievement environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity. Develop strong partnerships across the enterprise, collaborating as a trusted advisor.
  7. Work in a consultative capacity with executives, senior managers, process owners, and project teams to resolve program/project hotspots and risks, keeping stakeholders informed.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary education and 10+ years of practical business, project management, and/or technical experience.
  • Strong operational and risk management experience, with excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, coaching, information-seeking, and impact & influence skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programs and deliver results.
  • Experience managing medium to high complexity projects, with excellent analytical, research, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
  • Strategic agility, creative mindset, and ability to succeed in a complex, matrix environment with change leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge of process excellence disciplines, methodologies, and tools such as Lean manufacturing & Six Sigma.
  • Comfort in a role with visibility and interface with senior management and executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions.
  • Exceptional conflict management, negotiation, influencing skills, and technological self-sufficiency.

Nice-to-have

  • MBA or PMP certification.
