The position is full-time and is based at our Company’s head office in Calgary. We are growing rapidly, and this role requires a motivated and talented individual who wants to work in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Manager of SMT, the PCBA Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining all Through Hole assembly and SMT machines and equipment to ensure they are in perfect working condition. This includes completing routine and emergency repairs to machines, equipment, and fixtures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration of PCBA machines and equipment.
  2. Lead preventive maintenance programs.
  3. Develop preventive maintenance instructions.
  4. Develop MFMEA – Machine Failure Mode & Effects Analysis.
  5. Perform general building maintenance tasks as required.
  6. Provide backup for SMT process engineering support.
  7. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine malfunctions and procure replacement parts.
  8. Maintain machine spare parts inventory.
  9. Install, set up, and align new SMT machines/equipment.
  10. Communicate with machine manufacturers to resolve hardware-related issues.
  11. Overtime may be required to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  12. Track and maintain all equipment preventive maintenance records.

Data Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  1. 2-year full-time technical diploma in engineering or related experience.
  2. Mechanically oriented with above-average attention to detail.
  3. Knowledge of IPC 610 workmanship standards.
  4. Familiarity with component polarity markings and standard package sizes.
  5. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Experience in SMT manufacturing operations.
  7. Experience with SPI, AOI, Dek printer, or ASM Sipro place is an asset.
