Job description

As part of the Customer Success Organization (CSO), you will be tasked with successfully implementing Hitachi Energy’s software solutions. You will help drive customer satisfaction while ensuring best practices are followed in a bold, fast-paced, innovative, and values-driven environment. Ability to demonstrate a high level of understanding of business processes, project life cycle, and implementing software solutions within the energy market is required.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant in our Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) organization with experience in implementing software in the energy market. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of power, natural gas, renewables, and emissions products. An understanding of the deal life cycle from the front office, risk management, logistics, and back-office would be an advantage.
How you’ll make an impact
  1. Responsible for the successful delivery of software implementation and enhancement projects.
  2. Provide technical and infrastructure recommendations, design, analysis, and troubleshooting in workshops, configuration, testing, and production support to meet customer business requirements.
  3. Gather and document technical requirements, specifications, and test plans.
  4. Assume hands-on project implementation tasks which include gathering requirements, conducting workshops, integrations, and developing implementation specifications.
  5. Consult with key business stakeholders to determine technical requirements and workflow processes.
  6. Serve as a mentor to junior team members.
  7. Support technical resources involved in designing solutions to ensure coverage of business requirements and workflows.
  8. Support Project Manager in resolving project issues and minimizing project risks.
  9. Establish strong customer relationships while ensuring delivery obligations are met.
  10. Support customer training around custom development, integrations, and technical configuration.
Your background
  1. 5+ years of software implementation experience or proven business experience in the energy market.
  2. Experience with TRMTracker; familiarity with nMarket is a strong plus.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MIS, or a related field.
  4. Experience working within the power or natural gas industry.
  5. Requires prior experience with structured projects and implementation methodologies.
  6. Team player with the ability to achieve results through shared initiatives.
  7. Ability to adhere to and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Effective communication (written and verbal), leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  10. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
