Position Summary :
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure the availability of the Informatica platform through product installation, hardening, version upgrades, patch management, daily system monitoring, usage reporting, security/user authentication and management, ETL project/object promotion and development, UAT and production environments, creating data connectors, server performance tuning, troubleshooting, and collaboration with IT to ensure optimal system performance.
- Implement procedures to maintain, monitor, backup, and recover operations for the ETL environment and projects.
- Set up and configure the Informatica Domain across multiple environments (Dev / QA / UAT / Prod), establishing projects, roles, users, and privileges within the ETL environments.
- Design, implement, and administer Informatica security, manage logs, domain objects, and reports.
- Maintain relationships with the Informatica vendor to ensure software updates and adherence to industry best practices.
- Develop and document policies and procedures for Informatica system processes; maintain and document related data profiles, engineering, and architecture.
- Stay current with advancements in Informatica technologies.
- Support developers with Informatica issues and guide them to follow best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and manage plans for new applications, especially those of high to critical complexity.
- Work closely with DBAs for performance tuning, upgrades, and archive strategies.
- Support data initiatives such as Data Quality, MDM, Data Conversion by staying informed on industry best practices for data integration and management.
- Provide cross-training, support, and knowledge transfer to developers and business users/community.
Qualifications and Skills :
- 5-7 years of experience in Informatica administration activities and/or a Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a range of Informatica products, including IICS, PowerCenter, DEI, EDC, Axon, MDM, and IDQ, with a comprehensive understanding of their functionalities.
- Hands-on experience managing Informatica server and clusters, including installation, configuration, performance optimization, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
- Proven expertise in Informatica security administration to ensure data protection and access management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret user manuals, technical procedures, or business communications.
- Strong skills in data modeling, data architecture, data integration, and data warehousing.
- Expertise in SQL, MS SQL Server, programming, and query optimization.
- Experience working in SaaS environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
- Innovative, initiative-driven, organized, autonomous, adaptable, and capable of solving problems efficiently.
