What You'll Do
  • Collect samples from patients.
  • Perform laboratory procedures and analyze results.
  • Prepare solutions, reagents, and controls per SOPs.
  • Respond to test result inquiries and communicate findings.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, report malfunctions, and assist in evaluating procedures.
What You Bring

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds CSMLS certification.
  • Has experience in a core laboratory (new grads welcome).
  • Possesses strong communication, adaptability, and patient care commitment.
  • Understands the impacts of settler colonialism and systemic racism on Indigenous Peoples, with a commitment to cultural safety, humility, and anti-racism initiatives.

  • Understanding of Indigenous-specific racism and systemic barriers.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety.

Position Details

Type: Regular Part-Time

Wage: $36.69 - $45.81/hour + benefits

Hours: Days, afternoons, evenings, with potential night shifts and on-call at Hope.

Locations: Chilliwack General Hospital and Fraser Canyon Hospital.
