Job description

VIA Rail Canada Inc., Canada's national passenger rail service, is currently looking to fill Passenger Car Cleaner (General Worker) positions at our Vancouver or Mission Maintenance centres.

Tasks

1. Clean the interior and exterior of passenger railway cars.
2. Vacuum and wash carpets, wipe tables and chairs, change seat orientations, clean washrooms, and clean windows (interior & exterior).
3. Drain and fill potable water reservoirs, and drain waste water retention reservoirs.
4. Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. You must be available to work any shift (nights, evenings, or days), including weekends and holidays. Schedules are assigned based on seniority.

Salary

Hourly rate: $32.39/h
Evening shift differential: $1.50/h
Night shift differential: $2.00/h

Benefits
