Job description

Hays Specialist Recruitment in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is seeking a Land Administrator (Intermediate) for a 14-month contract. The position offers a rate of $40-41.95/hour and involves managing third-party programs, documentation, and record-keeping related to land rights acquisition and land-related issues.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute project land scope in alignment with project and business goals.
  2. Identify land requirements and potential risks, and mitigate or escalate as needed.
  3. Support project cost estimating, forecasting, and vendor cost accountability.
  4. Maintain communication with all stakeholders.
  5. Coordinate activities with Land Representatives and service providers.
  6. Assist in acquiring surface land rights for gas projects.
  7. Review acquisition documents and third-party requests for compliance.
  8. Manage documents related to gas projects.
  9. Ensure contractual payments are made properly.
  10. Track landowner commitments and manage documentation with land titles offices.
  11. Investigate and resolve land right issues.
  12. Ensure proper turnover of projects to operations.
  13. Process invoices and participate in process improvements.
  14. Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Land Administration Certificate or related diploma/degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Canada Energy Regulator (CER) regulated pipelines and BC OGC is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, land databases (including Pandell), and titles registries.
  • Experience with BC Energy Regulator is an asset.
