Job Description

We are currently hiring for our client- an engineering firm specialized in custom automated equipment for the automotive sector.

Duration: upto 6 months contract with strong potential to convert to permanent role

This is a full-time contract position (Monday to Friday 8:00-5:30) with overtime as needed.

You must be flexible with working overtime, and able to travel globally.

Duties:

● Interpret and analyze electrical schematics effectively.

● Build electrical panels, power distribution and control circuits, including On-Machine wire routing and termination, including cutting electrical enclosures to specifications.

● Build up test cables (soldering, minor mechanical assemblies).

● Conduct machine power-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.

● Provide cross-functional support other departments, including software, electrical, and mechanical teams, including a willingness to build light mechanical frames and set up sensors.

● Utilize standard electrical assembly tools and operate basic shop equipment proficiently.

● Collaborate and communicate with engineering staff to address build issues and adhere to project timelines

● Occasionally traveling to customer sites, to install troubleshoot test equipment.

Requirements:

● Minimum 3+ years of experience in the assembly of automated equipment, and electrical panel building and/or a recent graduate of a related post-secondary diploma (Electrical technician, Electro-Mechanical technician, Industrial automation, etc.)

● Post-secondary diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial automation, or electro-mechanical technology is highly .

● Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications

● Familiarity with industry standard electrical/mechanical/electric assembly practices

● Exceptional communication (written & verbal in the English ) and interpersonal skills

● Meet physical job requirements such as continuous standing and occasional lifting of 10-50 pounds
