Please note: This is a 12-month, temporary, full-time opportunity.

The Senior Manager, Global Banking and Markets Model Risk Management, supports the Head of GBM Model Risk Management in developing and executing the Global Model Risk Policy, focusing on the U.S. and Europe. The program includes oversight, reporting, governance, communication, and education, providing independent review and challenge of model use to ensure compliance with global regulatory standards such as FRB SR 11-7, OSFI E-23, and PRA SS 1/23.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the bank's global model inventory for GBM, including all models and relevant metadata.
  2. Championing Model Risk Management Policies and aligning with industry standards as a subject matter expert.
  3. Overseeing model reviews to ensure standards and business needs are met.
  4. Collaborating with responsible parties to develop documentation supporting regulatory compliance.
  5. Coordinating with Model Development, Validation, and Internal Audit to ensure complete documentation and compliance.
  6. Providing expert guidance on policies and standards to ensure consistent interpretation across the bank's business and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, banking, or related policy and process teams.
  • Knowledge of model risk management and relevant regulatory guidance.
  • Understanding of GBM businesses and product types.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance into internal governance documents.
  • Strong understanding of model development and validation practices.
  • Ability to review and challenge model methodologies and validation documentation.
  • Effective influence and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
