Job Details

As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for DDSB, you’ll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You’ll bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow.
3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
4. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning.
5. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications And Additional Information

• Grade(s)/assignments: Practical Learning Program
• Required subject qualifications: Special Education
• FTE: 1.0
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

Please Note The Following

• External hires can take up to 10 working days to be processed, which could affect the start date for this position.
• A Long Term Occasional Teacher may not rescind a Long Term Assignment to apply for and accept a different Long Term Assignment. An OT in a Long Term Assignment may accept more than one Long Term Assignment as long as accepting one does not rescind another. However, rescinding a Long Term Assignment to apply for a permanent position is permitted.
