Shift: Monday to Sunday | Rate of Pay: $17.20/hour | Job Length/End Date: Part-Time | Posting Type: Internal and External | Posting Date: 05/13/2022 | Application Deadline: 12/31/2023

Position Summary

Reporting to the Facility Operations Coordinator, the Facility Attendant II will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety within all areas of the facility and ensuring program setups are completed. This position offers a maximum of 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Open and close the facility.
  2. Set up and take down tables, chairs, and program equipment.
  3. Perform general cleaning of the community centre, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage collection, and snow removal from entrances/exits when applicable.
  4. Complete daily facility and safety checklists.
  5. Assist Facility Operators or Seasonal Labourers.
  6. Communicate with Facility Operations Coordinators, Facility Operators, and Asset Management.
  7. Interact effectively with permit holders and the general public.
  8. Learn and apply safety procedures from training (WHMIS, PPE, proper lifting, etc.).
Education and Experience
  • Minimum age: 16
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • AED certification
