Job description

Vancouver Sign Group is a leader in the sign and printing industry here in BC. We pride ourselves on being able to take any project from concept to completion - all in house. We have three divisions in our company: digital printing, custom fabrication, and a dedicated in-house installation team - all of which work closely together to ensure everyone is set up for success and the same outcome: a beautiful product that both the customer and we are proud of!

To maintain our success, every step and position is extremely important. We are looking for a Vinyl Production / Finisher to join our team!

As a Vinyl Production / Finisher and a member of our team, you should:

  1. Strive to be the best person you can be. This relates not only to your quality of work but also to being a genuine, loyal, honest, and happy human!
  2. Be outgoing, dedicated, and hardworking. Work is not just work; it is a place where you spend many hours, and building relationships with coworkers is important.
  3. Have a driver’s license, as you may be required to do site visits, checks, installs, and meet with clients.
  4. Have a great eye for detail. Details can make or break a project at every phase. Not every project is the same and may require different levels of problem-solving, which will be taught through experience.

As a Vinyl Production / Finisher, your team will rely on you to take the project from after the final sale to installation completion. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  1. Mounting vinyl to various substrates by hand and using our roll-to-roll table.
  2. Weeding and masking vinyl.
  3. Assisting with vinyl installation if required.
  4. Ensuring deadlines are met.
  5. Proofing each print/product and informing the production manager about any anomalies.
  6. Conducting quality control of produced prints.
  7. Cutting materials to size.
  8. Assisting in the installation department when needed.
  9. Running the flatbed cutter occasionally.

With great responsibility comes great reward! You can expect all or some of the following, depending on experience:

  1. An hourly rate of $20-$35/hr.
  2. Extended health benefits.
  3. Monthly company lunches (sometimes twice!).
