Armtec is growing and has the following opportunity in our NEW facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario:

TRUCK DRIVER

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Driver delivers and picks up materials from suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manner.The Driver operates forklifts, works with handtools and various production equipment to support our production team.

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections,
• Complete necessary log book and mileage reports
• Schedules and communicates any repairs or maintenance
• Inspect all material while loading and unloading, reporting any damaged materials immediately
• Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
• Determines best route for delivery considering weather, time and road conditions
• Follows Company Safe Work Practices
• Picks order and assists in plant and yard duties as required
  
  

Education And Experience

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years experience driving delivery truck
• Forklift operators certificate, an asset
• AZ Licence
  
  

Competencies And Technical Skills

• Clean drivers abstract
• Proven ability to service and maintain truck and trailer
• Ability to read a map and plan delivery route to maximize efficiency
• Superior work ethic with excellent time management skills
• Positive attitude
• Self-starter, working independently and with minimal supervision
• Mechanically inclined in order to recognize potential problems with equipment and ability to repair equipment.
• Must be a team player willing to take direction and suggest efficiencies.
• Physically fit; able to lift up to 75lbs unassisted and up to 150lbs with assistance.
