Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Global Compensation Analyst, the role involves activities related to total compensation and payroll. The incumbent will be responsible for retiree services and support the payroll team.
Retiree Service Responsibilities:
- Assist retirees with inquiries about their retirement plans and group insurance
- Direct calls to appropriate partners (Canada Life, Telus Health, RBC, etc.)
- Manage cases related to retiree death, supporting beneficiaries, processing life insurance payments, updating databases
- Ensure proper database management, handling change requests such as address updates, beneficiary modifications, and protection changes
- Draft and send confirmation letters for protections and beneficiaries
- Manage monthly insurance protection changes based on set criteria
- Support the team with HR system activities
- Ensure optimal operation and evolution of HR processes supported by technological solutions
- Participate in special projects related to total compensation based on priorities
Global Compensation Responsibilities:
- Manage group insurance programs and pension plans (defined benefit and contribution plans)
- Calculate and pay insurance premiums
- Calculate retirement benefits
- Organize retirement meetings and present pension options
- Validate cash flow movements in pension funds monthly
- Participate in year-end data updates for pension plans
- Support HR systems activities
- Manage relationships with suppliers
- Calculate monthly bonuses for unionized employees and prepare payment files
- Administer databases, ensuring data integrity
- Ensure optimal operation and evolution of HR processes supported by technology
- Participate in special projects related to total compensation
Qualifications:
- DEC in Administrative Techniques or equivalent
- 3-5 years relevant experience in administration, mathematics, accounting, or finance is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written
