• At least 2 years of experience with Farm, OTR, or Commercial tires.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract required.

Overview

Fountain Tire Vulcan is looking for a Commercial Tire Technician to operate a Tire Service Truck and occasionally work the Front Counter as needed.

As a Service Truck Driver, each day will bring new opportunities, but you will always be involved in:

• Installing, balancing, and rotating commercial & OTR tires on location and in-store
• Repairing commercial and automotive tires safely and efficiently
• Inspecting tires and wheels for correct inflation, wear patterns, tread depth, etc.
• Answering initial service calls
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Ensuring all equipment, tools, and supplies are returned in good working condition
• Operating company and customer vehicles safely
• Providing accurate and professional customer service
• Maintaining tire service equipment
• Understanding and adhering to safe operation of all equipment

When working the Front Counter, you will ensure that all customers receive top-notch service. Your duties will include:

• Greeting and communicating with customers on all aspects of service
• Sharing product knowledge and technical expertise with customers
• Providing service quotes and receiving customer authorization for work
• Scheduling customer appointments for tire services
• Recommending tire and wheel services to customers
• Ensuring accurate billing for all products
• Completing proactive calls to customers to gauge satisfaction

What kind of person are we looking for?

• Someone with at least 2 years of Farm, OTR, or Commercial tire experience
• A team player willing to take on any tire or any task
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Ability to work in unpredictable, physical conditions
• Availability for on-call work after hours
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds if required
