Position : Class 1 Driver, Full-time Seasonal

Start Date : Immediately

Main Responsibilities

This role is part of the Lafrentz Road Marking Durables Division, based in Acheson (near Edmonton). It may require working out of town approximately 50% of the time, including occasional night shifts. As a Class 1 Driver / Operator, you will ensure safety procedures are followed and support road marking projects. Versatility, flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential to support efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a recent commercial driver’s abstract
  • 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is an asset
  • Reliable transportation (public transit not available in Acheson)
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to lift up to 40kg / 90lbs and perform manual labor
  • Willingness to work out of town up to 2 weeks, in AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT, MB
  • Willing to work occasional night shifts
  • Construction and safety experience are assets
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Must comply with Drug and Alcohol Policy, including no cannabis use

Job Responsibilities

  • Learn processes and promote a safe work environment

  • Operate and maintain truck-mounted equipment
  • Participate as a key team member on projects
  • Other duties as assigned by a supervisor

Work Schedule

Typically 6 days on, 1 day off weekly, following NSC standards, including 70 hours of work in a 7-day cycle.

  • Hourly rate $27-32, paid weekly, based on experience
  • Regular overtime
