A leading health authority seeks an HSCL Nurse to develop and implement health services for adults with developmental disabilities. This role requires a registered nurse with experience in community health, offering direct client care and educational support. The position involves travel and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and education.

Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Health Services for Community Living (HSCL) Nurse participates in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating health services for adult clients/patients with developmental disabilities across various settings, aligned with the Vision and Mission of Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). The nurse utilizes clinical expertise to serve as a resource, providing consultation and in-service education to nurses, physicians, program teams, service providers, and caregivers regarding client care and treatment. The nurse also advises caregivers, delegates nursing tasks, conducts client assessments, and provides health education in group and individual settings. Direct client care, teaching, and problem-solving are integral to this role.
This position involves travel; transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements and may include the use of a personal vehicle.
