Our customer is seeking 3 Intel Server Specialists at Junior, Intermediate, and Senior levels for 3-year contracts in Regina, starting in late November or early December.
Description of Service :
- Ensure a secure, highly available Data Centre environment supporting customer’s business needs.
- Monitor all systems, platforms, and environments for availability, capacity, and performance; proactively manage configurations, assets, and refreshes to minimize service disruptions.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery services, including high availability environments. Handle incidents and problems following escalation procedures.
- Collaborate with third parties to ensure compliance with best practices, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Monitor Data Centre facilities for adequacy, including rack space, power, UPS, network ports, environmental controls, security, and support for SQL, SMS, and VMWare.

- Provide contact details for Data Centre Manager and escalation paths.
- Maintain a secure, compliant data center environment with best practices for power, cooling, fire safety, security, and audits.
Capacity & Performance Management
- Forecast capacity needs, monitor workload trends, and provide reports for future planning.
- Define performance requirements, execute capacity requests, test server performance, and schedule maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
Availability & Operations
- Define and ensure availability requirements, develop plans, track performance, and recommend improvements.
- Support application operations, monitor system alerts, and schedule maintenance with minimal impact.
Systems & Technical Support
- Perform system support including patching, upgrades, backups, and security management.
- Rebuild servers, support virtualization, and maintain server images.
Virus & Hardware Management
- Implement virus policies, update protection software, and secure environments from threats.
- Coordinate hardware maintenance, monitor hardware health, manage vendor relationships, and ensure SLA compliance.
Technical Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, plans, network diagrams, logs, and support procedures.
Certifications :
- ITIL Foundation or Service Manager
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP, MCSA)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP, VCAP, VCDX)
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Skills :
- Strong communication, attention to detail, understanding of business practices, and project management fundamentals.
