Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! A&P Float Mechanic - Rotor Wing, FULL-TIME Opportunity in Columbus and Greenwood, MS

  • Starting Salary: $62,705 - $91,455 annually
  • Float Stipend: $10,400
  • IA Stipend: $2,080
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

We are hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will support our EC135 airframe. The role is crucial to ensure our team maintains and delivers high-quality, timely transportation services, care, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
  2. Manage inventory checks to ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
  3. Accurately document service paperwork and FAA information, adhere to policies and procedures, and comply with company information security standards.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  5. Use appropriate communication methods to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors, and team members.
  6. Collaborate professionally with all health and safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and operations team members.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  1. Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with at least six months of helicopter maintenance in the last 24 months.
  2. Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  3. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  4. Experience with EC135 maintenance.
  5. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  6. Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and planning.
  7. Ability to travel between bases to support maintenance needs.
  8. Ability to push/pull 100+ lbs. and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
  2. Experience under CFR Part 135.
  3. Autopilot maintenance experience.
  4. Avionics and electrical repair experience.
