Position Overview
As the Hospitality Training Instructor, Front of House for HTA 75, you will be responsible for leading the cohort coordination, in-class instruction, and documentation of hospitality front-of-house training programs, including banquet and restaurant server training programs as well as supporting outreach and follow-up efforts. Your role will ensure that instructional programs fulfill employment and training outcomes that align with HTA 75's vision and mission, collaborating closely with a team of program coordinators and support staff to ensure all program participants receive the support they need throughout their employment and training journey.
The successful candidate will have expert skills and proven experience in banquet / event serving, restaurant service, and beverage service. While experience in instructional design, adult employment skills training, and learner support is considered a strong asset, we welcome candidates with a passion for teaching and a willingness to learn. You must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, identify and mitigate learner and program risks, and take initiative when facing challenges. Strong computer proficiency is essential, including learning new software programs that support organization and program outcomes. In addition, a considerable understanding of current equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging practices is critical for building a strong culture of caring within the organization.
