Purpose of Position:

To maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the Crew Chief or a licensed engineer, carry out inspections, dismantle, and assemble aircraft systems for repair and/or overhaul of aircraft systems and components on company aircraft.
  • Learn and understand troubleshooting aircraft defects and carry out corrective actions as required.
  • Carry out maintenance duties on Jazz aircraft.
  • Report issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with Company and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Perform duties following established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, co-workers, and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program (Structures).
  • Must have received Transport Canada Accreditation.
  • Hold a valid Canadian driver's license with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Ability to obtain an Airport Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
  • Legally able to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or on a Valid Work Permit).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Wages:

Positions are unionized; current pay scales are outlined in our collective agreement and progress every 6 months to 1 year. AMEs qualify for a Technical Premium paid on top of base wages for every hour worked.
