Facilities Maintenance Technician
Summary

MNAe MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain - Savannah is searching for a qualified building maintenance technician to work alongside our security and maintenance staff to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in all aspects of building functions, guaranteeing the safety and functionality of all facilities. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, while ensuring the overall appearance of Mobis Richmond Hill and Ellabell facilities. Duties include routine facility inspections, coordinating with contractors, planning maintenance work, and record-keeping. Our ideal candidate exhibits strong multitasking and organizational skills.

About Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, vital components for electric vehicle manufacturing, based on state-of-the-art technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions

To perform successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of buildings and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and building issues to prevent service disruptions.
  3. Monitor, check, and document overall facilities conditions.
  4. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment degradation and failures.
  5. Maintain the appearance of the facility, including interior and exterior areas.
  6. Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, and install building structures, systems, and equipment (e.g., roofs, walls, ceilings, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, grounds).
  7. Replace or update outdated building materials and appliances (e.g., motors, belts, sinks, doors, lighting fixtures).
  8. Inspect and maintain fire safety devices, lighting, generators, and mechanical systems.
  9. Paint and repair walls, floors, roofs, and other surfaces to preserve materials and maintain a professional appearance.
  10. Install and repair drywall, sheetrock, and ceiling tiles.
  11. Install signage and replace or repair appliances as needed.
  12. Adjust and calibrate thermostats, pneumatic controls, and HVAC systems for optimal operation.
  13. Assist and monitor third-party vendors servicing the facilities.
  14. Support the Facility Specialist/Manager with various tasks as required.
Basic Qualifications

These are the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of basic electrical experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an additional maintenance field (e.g., HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting).
  • Relevant technical training or education in an electrical field may substitute for up to 1 year of experience.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in facilities maintenance or related fields.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects over 60 pounds and perform labor-intensive tasks.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Experience
  • Associate degree in a maintenance-related field or equivalent technical certification.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in planning and maintaining facility budgets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • None required, but relevant certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or OSHA compliance are highly desirable.
Working Conditions
  • 10% office-based, 45% interior work, 45% outdoor tasks.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Use of hand and power tools.
  • Overtime and on-call availability as needed.
  • Work involves walking and standing within and between buildings.
  • Travel between locations in Richmond Hill, Savannah, and Ellabell, GA.
