True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in Canada's Best Managed Companies Program, has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s Quality Assurance Team at our St. George, NB facility.

The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are seeking an Operations Yield Specialist to join our Production and Maintenance teams in St. George.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor. The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Performing maintenance while production is running.
  2. Changing spare parts (training provided).
  3. Standing for long periods, occasional climbing, lifting/carrying 1-15 lbs, push/pull up to 10 lbs.
  4. Working independently.
  5. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, for preventive maintenance (sharpening knives, greasing, changing spare parts).
  6. Working on Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM) or Night Shift (5:30 PM - 6:30 AM).
Candidate Attributes
  • Mechanical inclination and/or electrical background.
  • Ability to work in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) are assets; training can be provided.
  • Respectful and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
