Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. We require a part-time facilitator for the online course titled “Integrated Accounting Strategy” within the Professional and Part-Time Learning (PPL) department.

Responsibilities
  1. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment accommodating diverse backgrounds and learning styles;
  2. Utilizing adult education principles to actively engage students;
  3. Using educational technologies to support learning and manage grades;
  4. Developing curriculum with appropriate assessment strategies;
  5. Ensuring course content remains current and relevant;
  6. Working independently and demonstrating initiative;
  7. Collaborating effectively with students, the program team, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of five years of recent industry experience related to the course topic;
  2. Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Business / Accounting; a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Education are assets;
  3. Relevant professional credentials, such as CPA;
  4. Post-secondary teaching experience or equivalent in a business environment, applying adult education principles;
  5. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities;
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  7. Experience with educational technology for learning support and grade management;
  8. Self-motivated, independent, and team-oriented;
  9. Commitment to lifelong learning;
  10. Understanding of the Ontario community college system.
