As an Analytics Technical Consultant-Level 2
You Will…
  1. Provide programming expertise for application development using client’s tools and technology.
  2. Take direction from senior technical staff on work products that need to be created.
  3. Understand company tools and technologies well and demonstrate effective use of them in a customer setting.
  4. Provide solutions to problems assigned by the technical lead on the project.
  5. Work well with the team in the project to meet the project objectives.
  6. Communicate effectively with both the team members and customers in both written and spoken form.
  7. Make effective use of the time to deliver a quality work product as agreed with the technical lead on the project.
  8. Perform good quality testing of the work product developed.
  9. Escalate technical issues with the team leader for solution.
  10. Provide status on tasks assigned in the project to the technical lead and the project manager.
  11. Ensure up-to-date knowledge in company and competitive solutions, through self-motivated approach to continuous learning.
  12. Actively participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
  13. Document programs and program flows.
  14. Ensure that programming complies with available standards.
  15. Develop prototypes as required.
  16. Undertake design of modules as assigned by the technical lead.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have…
  1. Working knowledge of common hardware environments and operating systems; Knowledge of UNIX, and Windows environments preferred.
  2. Basic understanding of connectivity issues and connectivity protocols, ability to use and configure software on multiple operating systems.
  3. Knowledge of and experience with:
  4. One or more databases including Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Sybase.
  5. Client-server, and multi-tier environments.
  6. Job scheduling and event/exception management.
  7. Security, file systems, and common network practices.
  8. BEA Weblogic, Websphere, J2EE, web development.
  9. Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills.
  10. Working knowledge of GUI technologies based on Java and .Net (Microsoft). Designs and authors help screens, menus, indices to ensure ease-of-use and consistency.
  11. Exposure to testing and validation techniques in software engineering.
  12. Ability to work independently and with a team.
  13. Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or Computer Science or Masters degree in Statistics.
  14. At least 2 years of work experience with BI Tools.
  15. Ability to travel 50-60%.
Skill set: (AI)
  1. Strong knowledge of data mining and statistics.
  2. Experience managing and analyzing data.
  3. Experience with advanced analytic techniques such as generalized linear models, survival analysis, or time series analysis preferred.
  4. Knowledge of transformations required to build effective data mining/analytical data sets.
Nice to Have…
  1. Experience with fraud in Financial, Government and/or Insurance settings is an asset.
