Camp Walt Whitman is a traditional, co-ed summer camp nestled in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. We are seeking dedicated general cabin counselors to work with campers aged 8-15. This role is ideal for students pursuing any major—especially those in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or Sports—offering valuable experience in child development, group and time management, conflict resolution, communication, leadership, and more.
Note: Students should verify with their educational institution if prior approval is needed before starting the internship.
Develop skills in communication, time management, teamwork, creativity, flexibility, work ethic, adaptability, independence, and initiative, among others.
As a premier, co-ed sleep-away camp, we host over 400 campers and 200 staff members. Our community is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, providing a positive environment where campers can have fun, meet people from around the world, and develop leadership and communication skills that last a lifetime.
