Position Summary

The National Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Company’s compliance against established Quality Management Systems policies and procedures, in alignment with established Product Compliance policies, to ensure standards, products and service are consistent with highest best in class quality standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop systems to audit process, procedures and business systems in accordance with all audit frequency requirements.
  • Develop and lead an LPA program or similar audit practice to improve quality systems that exceed customer requirements.
  • Provide GAP analysis and action plans related to audit findings that ensures timely resolution of open items.
  • Lead and support in implementation of QMS ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO37301, and internal and external audits as required.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct internal QMS and LPA audits.
  • Provide monthly compliance Quality Systems reports related to all quality services to the management team.
  • Organize document structure, maintain, follow and review accuracy of document control process.
  • Coordinate and communicate best practices across all plants nationally on an ongoing basis.
  • Measure performance based on continuous improvements, successful compliance to third party audits, on-time completion of internal audits and effective closure of corrective actions.
  • Additional responsibilities to support Quality Initiatives as assigned by the National Quality Manager.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of OHSA and the regulations

Qualifications

  • Completion of an appropriate blend of education and/or experience equaling a minimum of five years.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Management System function or equivalent.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of ISO quality systems
  • Prior experience dealing with customer quality issues, including plant audits.
  • Experience in Problem Solving Disciplines using a cross-functional team approach.
  • Management and Supervisory skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English with excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and a sound knowledge in MS Office, Excel and Outlook is an asset.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
