This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group).

Title of Course

Wind Ensemble I-II-III-IV

Selected wind literature in rehearsal and performance. Development of sight-reading, technical, and interpretive skills.

Rehearsals, 3 hours per week for two terms; participation in dress rehearsals and concert performances as required.

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7,471.08 per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14,942.17 per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom activities such as preparation, student consultation, grading, and course administration, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications
  1. Relevant Master of Music degree or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Significant professional experience conducting or directing wind/brass ensembles at the undergraduate level.
  3. Effective teaching demonstrated through evaluations, recommendations, or equivalent.
  4. Ability to use Brightspace or similar LMS systems.
