Job description

Responsibilities
  • Complete SWB team member training, including understanding relevant community outreach agencies for quick and timely interventions; see region-specific resource documents.
  • Complete the confidentiality form provided by the local SWB Chairman.
  • Attend regular meetings with the local SSN team and SWB team.
  • Collaborate with the SSN Lead / FRI staff to support crisis or urgent case tasks.
  • As directed by FRI Staff, work with other regional Boards and Portfolios (e.g., IVC, Economic Planning Board, Health Board) to ensure timely interventions are referred and tracked according to their mandate.
  • Ensure cases receiving ongoing support are updated promptly within the One Jamat Case Management System (OJCMS).
  • Identify issues and report them to the local SSN member and indirectly to the local SWB Chairman.
  • Crisis team members must maintain confidentiality of cases at all times.

About You
  • Clear vulnerable sector check.
  • Training will be provided through the iVolunteer platform (including Crisis Management Skills or Suicide Intervention Training; Mental Health First Aid is an asset but not required).
  • Experience supporting individuals in crisis or difficulty is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
  • Active listening skills, strong communication, and empathy.
  • Familiarity with computers, Outlook email, MS Teams, etc.
  • Effective problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to manage and document case plans.
  • Flexibility and availability during the day and after hours.
