This position requires an individual who demonstrates a quality-driven leadership style and is passionate about training to lead and develop people in a profitable business. This is also a hands-on role. The role focuses on the preparation and presentation of produce for sale with abundant, appealing, fresh-looking displays. It is a service-oriented position that provides courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and legendary service to customers and team members.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with and assist the Produce Lead
- Maintain a good relationship with the purchasing department to ensure specifications and pricing from approved suppliers are followed.
- Ensure equipment maintenance, workplace safety, and sanitation systems are in place and followed.
- Provide excellent customer service to build rapport and trust.
- Address all customer requests and questions, following up personally.
- Maintain food safety standards and adhere to all company procedures.
- Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated.
- Ensure accurate retail pricing and signage.
- Oversee product sampling to customers.
- Stay informed about new products and share information with customers.
- Keep back areas and coolers well-maintained, organized, and properly dated.
- Document waste, department transfers, and store transfers immediately.
- Assist in monthly inventory counts.
- Be aware of current sales, margins, and action plans from team leaders.
- Follow proper receiving procedures as per company guidelines.
- Demonstrate proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow packaging, wrapping, and rotation procedures.
- Assist in cross-merchandising with other departments.
- Execute all cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Attend all department, store, and training meetings.
- Accept and check all products from the receiver.
- Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and urgency.
- Wash and sanitize utensils as necessary.
- Prepare ready-to-serve products, such as Sunterra’s freshly squeezed juices.
- Perform other duties delegated by team leaders and store leaders.
- Be available for night shifts and weekends.
Working Conditions :
- Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
- May walk and work on uneven surfaces.
- Reaching above and below shoulder height is required.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
- Use of ladders or stools may be necessary to reach products or supplies.
- Exposure to background noise and occasional loud noises.
- Repetitive stretching and lifting are required.
