Job description

Marshall Canada is currently seeking a Production Controller to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Controller will oversee material demand planning and inventory control. This role collaborates closely with the supply and shipping teams to coordinate delivery schedules, manage timelines, and mitigate potential risks to ensure seamless production operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing inventory to meet production demands according to schedule.
  2. Ensuring inventory accuracy through effective control.
  3. Coordinating with supply & shipping teams on delivery times, schedules, and risk management.
  4. Reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
  5. Reviewing and closing production orders.
  6. Forecasting schedules and adapting to challenges.
  7. Preparing and sharing reports on production trends and inefficiencies.
  8. Supporting Marshall’s digitalization initiatives, including dashboards and modeling.
  9. Participating in Continuous Improvement activities.
  10. Creating and managing operational KPIs using Excel and Power BI.
  11. Backing up the Supply Chain team in purchase order creation and supplier communication, including onboarding in IFS.
  12. Assisting with quality audits.
  13. Adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
  14. Working overtime as required due to manufacturing demands.
  15. Performing other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years planning experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • APICS CPIM certification is an asset.
  • Understanding of international logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, ERP/MRP/DRP software, Power BI, and Visio is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and SMED.

Must be eligible to meet export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and security requirements.
