Job description

We are looking for a Network Services Platform (NSP) Automation Solution Architect to provide professional services to Nokia’s customer base. The candidate in this role will be required to work in a consultative manner, managing customer needs and solution requirements by working directly with customers, project managers, sales engineers, business development, and technical teams to deliver automation projects.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. They should be energetic, results-oriented, and possess knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas:

  1. Experience conducting customer needs and requirements gathering workshops and interviews. Knowledge of customer needs analysis frameworks like “Jobs-To-Be-Done” and/or “Business Communications and Influence” is an asset.
  2. Proven ability to transform customer needs and requirements into successful solution offerings and software specifications.
  3. Comprehensive understanding and experience with IP/Optical networking, OSS, and SDN technologies and business, enabling leadership in technical and business discussions with internal and customer experts. Nokia Service Router Certification Level II+ or Cisco CCNA is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of the telecommunications market and network operations to ideate automation solutions with Nokia customers.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with development teams, sales, account teams, and program owners.
  6. Software development experience in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
  1. Engage with Sales Engineers, Business Development, regional account teams, and Project Managers to understand project goals and scope.
  2. Conduct needs analysis workshops with customers to gather detailed business needs, use cases, and expected outcomes.
  3. Document and share understanding of project goals and requirements between customers and project teams.
  4. Validate requirements in labs or through research on network equipment features, functions, and capabilities. Be prepared to set up labs as needed.
  5. Analyze technical and business requirements to design automation solutions based on NSP Automation framework, documenting results in proposals or high-level designs.
  6. Validate solutions with design and testing teams.
  7. Stay informed about product features, service offerings, and roadmaps by maintaining contact with product managers.
  8. Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to outline solution architecture, suggest product components, and propose viable solutions with ROI considerations.
  9. Assist sales, accounts, and commercial teams in drafting statements of work or solution proposals.
  10. Provide guidance and support to customers and project teams, ensuring scope adherence and solution delivery.
  11. Serve as a liaison across business units for customer projects.
