We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team for the upcoming season. We offer flexible contract options, with both 4-month and 6-month contracts available. Start dates are in April or May, with all contracts concluding in October.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a team our goal is to create unforgettable, picture-perfect experiences for our guests. Your role in that goal is very important! As a breakfast server at the Jasper Inn & Suites your main objective is to provide quality service to each person while they are on site. We want our guests to leave remembering what a positive experience you helped create for them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Take food & beverage orders and collect payments where specified
2. Maintain cleanliness of the work areas and equipment in front and back areas of our restaurant and banquet facilities according to resort standards
3. Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements such as detailed menu selections, ingredients, prices, station assignment and table settings
4. Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
5. Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
6. Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating when necessary
7. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements
8. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
9. Maintain positive guest relations at all times
10. Be familiar with all resort services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
11. Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction in conjunction with the Supervisor and/or Manager
12. Complete opening, closing and cleaning side duties as assigned
13. Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
14. Set up, serving, and tear down of meeting and banquet rooms according to the banquet event order
15. Completion of pre/post function side work as assigned by supervisor
16. Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown coffee breaks, receptions and buffet tables for specified functions according to group requirements
17. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. One year of previous serving experience
2. A passion for customer service and a strong attention to detail
3. Energetic, flexible, reliable, respectful, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
5. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
6. Friendly and pleasant demeanour, courteous, self-motivated, and professional
7. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team
