Position Overview

As our AI Services Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing innovative AI solutions as backend services for our enterprise clients. You'll design, develop, and maintain robust AI services that transform how our clients understand and use real-time data in education, news and other domains. Beyond implementation, you'll support these services to ensure optimal performance, stability, and scalability as client needs evolve.

What You'll Do

• Use advanced prompt engineering techniques to implement solution designs with one or more LLMs, experimenting with and benchmarking various generative models for optimal results and performance
• Design and maintain a scalable infrastructure for new AI-powered features and products while working closely with internal and client full-stack and DevOps engineers. Maintain clear and thorough documentation for these services.
• Build data pipelines as needed to manage both input and result datasets
• Ensure the functionality, security and performance of each service with developer QA and monitoring activities
• Ensure all solutions are trustworthy, scalable, and supportive.

All solutions must include mechanisms for fact-checking, source transparency, and information verification to ensure our services deliver truthful results users can depend on.
• Scalable : Solutions must be designed to handle increasing workloads, data volumes, and user requirements. You'll create architectures that can grow with our clients' needs while maintaining performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Supportive : Our solutions aim to give time back to people working in real-time settings such as education and news. You'll design AI systems that handle routine tasks and information processing, enabling end users to focus on creativity, learning, and growth. The goal is to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them, creating tools that support deeper work and meaningful human interaction.

What You'll Have

• 3+ years of proven hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining ML / NLP models and pipelines
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini, AI21) and prompt engineering
• Hand-on experience on semantic search pipeline, information retrieval concepts and document indexing
• Deep understanding of modern AWS Data stack and agile delivery models, demonstrated focus on building business data pipelines
• Warehousing experience preferably with Redshift
• Experience with AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS EC2, Lambda, S3 for ETL and Catalog, and other toolsets
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Go and ML / NLP libraries such as PyTorch, Pyspark

What You Might Have

• Experience with TypeScript, NodeJS
• Experience with strategies to ensure high degrees of factuality in AI-generated content
• Domain experience in ed tech or news products
