POSITION: SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Paediatrics, SmallTALK

Temporary Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY: A speech-language pathologist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, education, and management of referred patients. Caseload will be exclusively paediatric outpatients.
REPORTS TO: Manager, Preschool Speech and Language
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $44.67 to $57.90 per hour
Qualifications

• Masters degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
• A member in good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASPLO)

Experience

• Preference is given to individuals possessing a minimum of 1 year clinical experience in the identification and treatment of speech and language delays and disorders
• Experience in provision of Early Language Parent Training (e.g., Hanen Programs) and family education regarding management of/family interaction with children with communication disorders
• Experience with providing assessment and treatment through virtual platforms

• Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in an interprofessional collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
• Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative.
• Evidence of continued professional growth and/or professional development.
• Appreciation of resource utilization.
• Computer skills, particularly Meditech, MS Office, and/or other software.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel throughout the region.
