Job Description / Duties

The Auto Insurance Specialist I is primarily responsible for processing basic insurance transactions and auto policies.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  1. Process auto and basic insurance transactions under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
  2. Identify client needs and provide information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits, and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; work with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
  3. Recommend and implement a client’s insurance coverage, premiums, and collect payment; promote Brio/Interlake Insurance products and services.
  4. Support the achievement of department and organizational goals and actively participate in regular staff meetings.
  5. Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
  6. Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention.
  7. This list is not inclusive; other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications / Required Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 1 or working towards Level 1 Brokers license.
  • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services.
  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry.
  • Proficient computer skills.
