Position Overview:

As a subject matter expert in packaging, the Packaging Analyst will support the growth, quality, and productivity within the business. The role involves analyzing returns, sales, damage, loss prevention, and productivity data to identify opportunities that drive packaging initiatives. Additionally, the role will direct corrective actions with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve packaging issues. The analyst will also act as a liaison between internal partners, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure packaging standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brand and Product Development: Create collection names, manage approval processes through merchandising, legal, and brand teams; monitor customer care numbers on packaging; collaborate with the brand manager to promote brand awareness in stores.
  • Packaging Engineering and Sustainability: Analyze data to generate initiatives across supply chain processes; advise on packaging best practices; ensure compliance with testing protocols; collaborate with the US Packaging Engineering team; drive corrective actions for high-return or damaged products; manage packaging for onboarding new products; support shipping requirements and signage; support new product introductions; lead packaging projects; promote sustainability through packaging changes.
  • Packaging Artwork: Review intake forms against regulatory and brand requirements; approve artwork in digital software; guide Visual Merchandising on signage alignment; audit in-store packaging against approvals; work with vendors on instruction manuals.

  • Travel: Occasional travel within the US
  • Physical Requirements: Mostly sitting, occasional lifting
  • Work Environment: Office, Store, Innovation Center
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Experience: 5 years in packaging, preferably in retail
  • Certifications: Packaging Engineering Technician diploma preferred
