As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business to achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities.

The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist will assist in the development of communication activities that support Hatch. Primarily, this role will contribute to the execution of Hatch's global internal communications deliverables. We're looking for a candidate who is passionate about compelling storytelling, with creative vision and knowledge of marketing and communications best practices to engage internal audiences in alignment with Hatch’s mission and vision. Strong writing skills, project management, and consulting skills are key characteristics for our ideal candidate.

In this role, you will:

1. Conduct interviews, research, and actively collaborate with our internal clients for the successful strategic planning and delivery of communications deliverables.
2. Communicate with product designers and developers to understand our client value proposition.
3. Develop internal communications that support the global rollout of complex campaigns across Hatch.
4. Create, curate, and manage content on our corporate intranet.
5. Contribute weekly/monthly content to our intranet sites that raises awareness across the organization and engages and informs internal audiences in compelling ways to foster a sense of belonging.
6. Collaborate with regional marketing leads and sector marketing leads to communicate key initiatives.
7. Generate communications plans, strategies, and scheduling, as required.
8. Write for and contribute to Hatch's internal editorial content with daily publishing timelines.
9. Support the execution of corporate events with scripting and creative direction.
10. Write for and contribute to various communications and marketing materials, such as presentations, event collateral, and digital content.
11. Research and compile relevant and highly technical information, creating interesting stories that inspire.
12. Liaise directly with leadership outside of the marketing department and across various disciplines, practices, and geographies to support the business.
13. Monitor analytics in alignment with established KPIs, create reporting and provide insight for ongoing measurement of success and improvement.
14. Work in partnership with our creative team to collaborate for the most effective presentation of information.

What you bring:

1. A college diploma or university degree in the field of communications, journalism, or English with a minimum of 7 - 10 years of work experience in the field and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
2. Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and highly technical information and proven ability to write compelling copy to engage clients/target audiences and foster a sense of belonging.
3. Creative and critical thinking skills and usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users' understanding.
4. Knowledge of Canadian Press and Chicago Manual Style is an asset.
5. A flair for creating compelling written communication, strong organizational and time management skills, and experience establishing KPIs, monitoring analytics, and reporting on outcomes.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet scheduled deadlines.
7. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to actively listen with proven ability to establish production working relationships with internal stakeholders.
8. Strong understanding of client relationship management and industry best practices.
9. Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team, providing insightful input and mentoring junior team members.
10. Adaptability in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced delivery environment.
11. Creativity and experience with a wide range of innovative communications approaches.
12. Professional and friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills.
13. Experience working in the construction, engineering, or technology industries is an asset.
14. Strong computer skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
15. Experience using social media as an internal communications tool is an asset.
