Sr. Principal, Enterprise Architect
At Interac, we design and deliver products and solutions that give Canadians control over their money so they can get more out of life. Whether we’re leading real-time money movement, driving innovative commerce solutions like open payments for transit systems, or making advancements in new areas like verification and open banking, we are playing a key role in shaping the future of the digital economy in Canada.
Want to make a lasting impact amongst a community of creative thinkers, problem solvers, technical gurus and high-performance application developers? We want to hear from you.
The Sr. Principal, Enterprise Architect—reporting to the Leader, Architecture—will be deployed to a platform to support its objectives and guide it on a multi-year journey for technology transformation. Working directly with the platform leadership and owners, the Architect will ensure the backlog includes what is necessary to meet enterprise objectives and help prioritize related work into release plans that both deliver business value and support technology transformation over time. We want YOU, because you have taken a leadership role in similar work in the past, and can draw on your experiences to act as a mentor both within the architecture practice, and within the platform teams supported, helping everyone raise their game to deliver both business and enterprise value at the same time.
The successful candidate will have deep experience in delivering technology platform services to product line teams. The platforms you have enabled may include major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as popular application services offered across such platforms for databases, container management, service meshes, event streaming, cryptographic material management, etc., and integrated SaaS solutions for functions like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and more. With this kind of experience under your belt, we will support you to develop into a new kind of “enterprise architect” that is far from the old school ivory tower types that go by the same name. At Interac, the expectation will be to blend engineering with design and architecture in this role to shift architecture left in the SDLC, reducing the need for review cycles by providing agile development teams with solutions they can drop directly into their platforms from day one to be “pre-compliant” with enterprise standards. It’s a different kind of mindset for architects. And so we’re looking for a different kind of candidates here. If this is an exciting proposition for you, and you feel like you could dive right in to helping us establish this new kind of architecture practice, give us a call. We can’t wait to hear from you!
