Assistant Adjunct Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Salary range:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The posted UCSC Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the scale titled, FACULTY--LADDER RANKS--PROFESSOR SERIES ACADEMIC YEAR. A reasonable estimate for this position is an annual salary $57,579 (based on a full-time annual salary of $112,900).

Part-time (51%)

Position description

Crown College is dedicated to supporting student success through the teaching of the college's Core and Elective courses and it's residential education program, which focus on Crown's theme "Societal and Ethical Implications of Emerging Technologies". Entrepreneurship and innovation feature prominently among Crowns' elective course curriculum and this program is enhanced through Crown's collaboration with UCSC's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development (CIED).


The Assistant Adjunct Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship position involves research, teaching and service. The research can be in any area related to the impact of new technologies on the economy or in the classroom. Teaching will be focused on methods of corporate innovation and on investment in Start-ups. Service will be supporting Crown and CIED's public-facing business pitch competitions in the form of judging, as well as student advising, and student mentorship.

  • Founder or CEO experience.
