Qualifications

Summer school positions are available from July 2, to July 29, 2025. KPR Grade 9 - 12 students. Teachers must hold qualifications appropriate to the position applied for. Teachers are invited to submit applications to teach summer school for both eLearning and in-person learning for the following positions:

Summer Start Program: For the Literacy and Numeracy portion of the program

Summer Start Program: For the Technology portion of the program. Summer Start: for the culinary Arts portion of the program.

Qualifications Required

  • In Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or; Good Standing with Terms, Conditions or Limitations (Transitional Certificate).
  • A police record check, with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Pardoned Sexual Offenders Database Search dated within 6 months prior to the date of hire, is a requirement for employment.
  • Grade 9 Destreamed and Grade 10 Academic and Applied in the following areas: English, History, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Civics, Career Studies (English and French), Ojibway Language Course, Grade 9 Integrated Tech
  • Grade 11 and Grade 12 college, University and Workplace in the following areas: English, Mathematics, Business Leadership, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Law, Society Challenge and Change (French Immersion), Literacy Course (OLC 4O)
  • Alternative Education Sites: Dalhousie (Peterborough) - all Secondary subject areas
