As a Senior Accountant, Assurance or Privately Held Business your responsibilities will include:

1. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors
2. Planning, preparing and executing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirement planning
3. Providing solutions to our clients on current business and financial conditions
4. Preparing various types of tax returns (personal, trust, and corporate) and responding to CRA requests for information
5. Bookkeeping and investment accounting for corporation
6. Contributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
7. Mentoring, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior colleagues

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Accountant, Assurance or Privately Held Business? Here are a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

1. CPA designation or enrolled in CPA
2. Completion of relevant university/college program
3. A minimum of 3-4 years’ work experience in public practice
4. Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting and tax with a commitment to excellence to detail
5. Passion for client service, entrepreneurial and business advisor focus
6. Experience reviewing smaller engagement files and sections of larger engagement files
7. Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
8. Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
11. Effective working independently and as part of a team
12. Experience in leading teams of professionals on diverse engagements
