Working closely with: Engineering and Product

Seniority: Senior / Lead

TL / DR:

We are looking to add a highly skilled and experienced React Native developer to our team. You will help build and launch our new mobile app on Android and iOS platforms. You will work alongside both experienced and intermediate developers, and will be asked to collaborate with others as well as lead projects yourself.

The nitty-gritty:

• Leading by example, reporting directly to the CTO
• Participating in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for future features
• Sprint Planning: breaking down large epics into smaller, actionable tasks with details
• Conducting code reviews, providing feedback and guidance to team members
• Pair Programming over Tuple, supporting team members
• Prototyping concepts as part of idea exploration
• 5+ years of engineering experience in the software industry as a developer, architect, or engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
• 3+ years of experience developing React Native mobile applications
• Experience with React Native with and without Expo
• Knowledge of React Native best practices
• Experience integrating and debugging third-party native SDKs; contribution to SDKs is a plus
• Understanding of mobile security best practices
• Knowledge of testing principles for mobile development
• Familiarity with responsive design concepts focused on mobile devices

Bonus Points:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile
• Knowledge of Google Play and Apple App Store processes
• Experience with Vue.js or React.js (our frontend team uses Vue.js)
• Knowledge of Nuxt.js / Next.js frameworks
• Understanding of Node.js and server-side rendering concepts
• Ability to create functional user interfaces from wireframes or discussions
