Job description

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations. Provides patient care tailored to each patient based on feedback received during consultations or file reviews.

What You'll Do
  1. Ensure excellent patient experience and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
  6. Execute processes according to Walmart's SOPs and best practices.
  7. Operate pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.) effectively.
  8. Protect patient privacy at all times, following provincial regulations.
  9. Provide eligible services such as medication reviews and injections to meet patient needs.
  10. Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted hours.
  11. Assist in executing the business action plan in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager to achieve corporate goals.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.50/hr, determined based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Age: 16 or older
License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
