About the Company - Answer Precision Technologies (APT) is a rapidly growing automation and equipment manufacturer in Kitchener. We specialize in designing and developing state-of-the-art Assembly Automation Systems, Precision Checking Fixtures, and Mould Tooling. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and precision is at the core of everything we do!

About the Role - The Administrative Assistant provides support to the accounting and purchasing team members. They are the first point of contact for the company and therefore must handle all their interactions with tack, sensitivity, diplomacy and professionalism. The Administrative Assistant will also handle general administrative functions like maintaining SOP’s, answering phones, filing, greeting visitors, responding to emails etc. This position requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities -

  • Greet and welcome visitors
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Arrange and prepare travel documents
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, inquiries and requests from both external/internal parties
  • Assist the shipping and receiving department, valid licence is required for the occasional pick-up/delivery
  • Provide administrative support for the Social Committee, company events and announcements
  • Assist with mail collection, filing and other clerical work
  • Maintain manual and electronic filing systems
  • Provide accounting support to the accounting & purchasing department
  • Maintain SOP’s, policies and procedures for all accounting and front office functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications -

  • Experience: 3+ years of administrative support in a busy office
  • Computerized bookkeeping experience with Sage 50 is an asset
  • MS Office: Intermediate level in MS Office
